FOUNDATION FOR REHABILITATION & DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY (FORDECUSA) WHO WE ARE FORDECUSA is a grassroots, non-profit organization formed in 2008 by a group of concerned Thais and Americans living in the United States. Many of our members were once Peace Corps volunteers in Thailand. Other members are people who have spent time working with poor Thai children, who live in deplorable conditions and lack basic education, nutrition and healthcare. Others are Thai friends and community supporters who feel a special connection to Thailand and want to help. WHOM WE ASSIST FORDECUSA assists disadvantaged children and families in Thailand. We also help charitable organizations here in the United States and abroad, such as MedShare International and Daschild.org. WHAT WE DO FORDECUSA raises funds to support other legally recognized non-profit organizations in Thailand whose goals are to provide assistance to the poor and needy. We monitor the use of the funds we raised to ensure they are being used in ways that are consistent with our mission. Fordec USA is a truly non-profit organization. It has no paid staff.  Everyone is a volunteer.   Out of every dollar donated, about 96 cents goes to help the poor. Our goal is to try to use every donated dollar to buy a meal, a pair of shoes or school supplies for a needy child.
